Our process is highly collaborative during the Design Development phase which includes inspiration gathering, surveys, and interviews so that we can get to know you better. Our number one goal is a timeless space that reflects your style and makes you proud to call it your own.
We have relationships with many vendors ranging from the Dallas Market Center and other trade outlets to retail stores. Where we purchase products will depend largely on budget, timing, and the design elements we are trying to achieve.
It’s natural to feel a bit overwhelmed by home projects, and that’s something we understand very well. Right from the start, during our initial onsite consultation, we take the time to discuss and define the project’s scope. Additionally, we take into account your budget, which plays a significant role in shaping our approach. If, at any point, you as a client decide to expand the project’s scope, we’re more than willing to reassess both the budget and timeline. Our goal is to make the entire process as calm and drama-free as possible.
Our fees are designed to be predictable, fair, and transparent. All of our services are “Cost Plus a Flat Fee” based on the size and complexity of the project. Unlike Cost Plus a Percentage or Hourly Rate, which encourages extending the project and budget, Cost Plus a Flat Fee incentivizes us to be efficient with our time and your budget. When we sell any furnishings, case goods, rugs, window coverings, hard finishes, lighting, and cabinetry, our pricing is at or below what you can find in retail for the same item. For any custom items, pricing will vary. All pricing and fees are approved by you prior to any purchases and are subject to taxes, freight, delivery, and shipping charges.
Once we have executed our Statement of Work and have received the deposit, we will put you on our schedule. Our schedule fluctuates depending on our current projects, but we are just as excited to get started, so we will make sure you are informed of our current timing ahead of signing the Statement of Work.
During the discovery phase and once we fully understand your project, we will provide an estimate of your timeline. Then during the Design Development phase, we will be able to confirm a more accurate timeline. While delays can and do happen, we do our best to plan for contingencies, and you will be informed of the project status on a regular basis. Unfortunately, we can not guarantee any specific deadlines as we do not control delivery times and contractor availability, however, we do promise to keep you informed and can often find alternatives if needed to keep things moving forward.
We maintain ongoing communication throughout all the implementation phases to ensure your satisfaction with selections, provide clarity on orders, and inform you of expected delivery times. We use a variety of tools to communicate including email, text, phone, and our design portal.
